Remembering how lucky I am

This not only broke my heart in multiple places, it also reduced me to dripping tears at my desk and reminded me, like a 2x4 upside the head, how fortunate I am, in so many ways in my life. It's horrible that this is what it takes to be reminded of how good things are, but I'll take the lesson and hug my child as close to me as I can this afternoon before she wriggles away and runs off to be her own glorious self.

I may have stresses, and I may have anxiety, but this is not one of them. And for that, I have gratitude.

GOd, that is just unbelievably sad. I hope the parents are okay, eventually.

I am with you on this. It just makes you hug your baby more than usual. It takes someone else's loss to make us remember to appreciate what is going great in our lives.
