Wednesday, May 30. 2007Why I Love My Daughter, reason #825Because when I was playing my new box set of The Clash (is it wrong that I bought it for $16.99 at Costco?), riding home in the car, after each song she demanded "More Moosic, Mommy!"
And, the other night when I was fixing dinner, she and G were dancing to The Pixies and Frank Black CDs, and she was squealing with delight. I love that she likes our "moosic", instead of the pablum that kids are fed these days. If I had to listen to The Wiggles or Elmo singing pedantic songs every time we went in the car, or wanted music in the house, I think I would go a little mental. Trackbacks

So cute...I love it! I was brought up the same way, listening to what my parents liked, and I STILL love it. My mom's obsession with Bryan Adams notwithstanding, at least...
Great post! Power to Raffi, the Wiggles, etc... they make tons of money entertaining kids and driving parents nuts. Parents do themselves in by actually purchasing and playing that music though - no one to blame but themselves! J, E and G all listen to the same music that F and I like. Although, I did have to question my parenting when J started asking for the "junk in your trunk" song (Black Eyes Peas was the CD of the week in the car)... and then he asked about bringing SexyBack....
